WINTER MEMORIES

Sitting inside looking out the window,
Watching the trees sway as the winter wind blows,
Closing my eyes and imagining a time,
When I was young and always outside,
Playing with my brother and my sister in the snow,
Opening my eyes, I again look out the window,
Watching the snowfall as I soon start to smile,
Memories of a past that has faded through time,
Suddenly emerge and I see other things,
My mother and dad looking out for me,
As I play and sit in the snow,
As the trees start to sway,
As the winter wind blows.
