THE MOTHER
Raven black hair,
Eagle stare,
Native maiden,
Mother of all.
Love and compassion,
Action and reaction,
Caring and kind;
This lady of the People,
Who sees all as an equal.
She lets them know,
With her eagle stare,
That she does care,
But beware.
Betrayal of the worst kind
Will set her anger on high,
This Native maiden,
Who the wicked do not dare.
