THE APPLE DOESN’T FALL FAR FROM THE TREE

Sometimes people try to hide
the feelings held down deep inside
others go into a tyrannical rage

not knowing why

but knowing that they never could really
hold it in no matter how much

they tried to believe

that they’d never be like
their dad or their mom

Still others feel

that they will never
do anything wrong

These are the ones who take everything
making it work to their advantage

and I believe

I am the type who is quick to get mad
even though I never wanted to be

like my Mom or my Dad
