SOMETIMES IN LIFE…

My life started out just like any other
from conception to birth is it any wonder
the things that can happen from then

until now

I long for the things that others
cannot live without

I wait for the day when I get my chance
to do what I’ve wanted ever since

I was a child not meant to live past 3
I am a mother with a son and we

live life to the fullest
even though income we lack
we do what we can to make it last

I wait for the day when someone will come
to stand beside me and be a father to my son

sometimes I wonder what life would be like

to be able to walk and be able to run
to be able to do things that every mother does

for the time being in this life and this place
I do what I can knowing that my place

in this world full of so many things
I’m meant to be here for a reason or more

I wait for the day God opens the door
