SISTERS AND FRIENDS
She came to me on silver wings
as I closed my eyes to dream,
She took me from this place in the dark
and took me high above the stars,
We reached the sky and the heavens above
where I felt safe from harm,
We touched down on a field in the clouds
where the trees and things abound,
A forest of light and devoid of dark
a fire flickered on a mountaintop,
We reached its peak and there she stood
an angel in white, but who,
She took me in her arms and said:
“This is where I’ve gone my friend,
High above the stars and sky
where we took our moonlight ride,
You came to me in my time of need
I stay with you even as you grieve,
I love you just as much as before,
please don’t cry for me anymore,
I’m happy now and pain is gone,
but my babies and my husband are alone,
How I wish I could have stayed for a time,
but the gods needed me,
For me it was time,
so do not weep for me anymore,
I’m home now, where I grieve no more,
my parents here, and warriors of the past,
I’m here with them, safe at last,
Safe from harm and those who hurt me,
tell everyone I love them,
Please don’t cry for me,
go home now, it’s not your time,
Take the memories of you and I,
do not weep but do not forget,
You and I will be together again,
so I took to the sky,
On the steed did I ride,
with her silver wings and her mane of gold,
She brought me back, and I am home, I’ll do what she says,
I’ll weep no more, but in my heart I’ll never forget,
The love we shared as sisters and friends… ”
