MY LIFE?

I need a life,
I always say.

Yet I’m afraid
To go astray
From this shelter
They call the internet.

I have many friends
Here on line.
I’m glad I have them;
They make me smile.

I come to them,
When the need is strong.
They make me laugh;
Make me smile.

Some of them live
Too many miles
For me to hug
And give a kiss hello.

But they always know
How I love them so.
I have a life;
Just not as my parents planned.

It’s on this thing,
Called the internet.
