LITTLE DITTY FROM AN OLD RAT

There once was a rodent called Mouse,
Who never wanted to leave her house,
In her hole all alone, this day was hers alone,
So she had an idea to come out.

She ran to Mamma Rat, shouting WHERE YOU BE AT,
And got no reply so she moved on,
She ran to Stinky Biker, whose stink didn’t bother,
And ate some of the ‘shrooms at his door,
In a silly little stupor, she went down to Florida,
and forgot that the Snake wasn’t home,
So she went to St Mary’s, my what was she thinking,
As she sat there on his porch waiting for him to come home.

She soon fell asleep, with someone nipping at her feet,
And found that she was in a land all alone,
She looked all around, not hearing a sound,
and knocked on a door with no hole.

She soon saw Auntie Em, asleep yet again,
Man doesn’t she ever stay at home????

She went back to her hole,
Feeling not so alone,
Humming a tune in her head,
She heard a sound, and thought,
What the hell…

And she checked her email to see…

She found a little note,
and no longer did she gloat,
as the words made her smile from ear to ear.

The words were Happy Birthday!

From whom it did not say,
But she liked it and kept it anyway.
