LIGHTNING STREAKS ACROSS THE SKY
Thunder rolls in the darkest of nights
Rain is falling on the soft ground
Through the noise is heard another sound
Leaves are sweeping in the wind
Limbs are breaking from the trees
Animals retreat for someplace warm
Away from this terrible storm
Through it all is still another sound
But you can’t hear it from the ground
For it is high above the clouds
Its horn is lighting its own way
As it seeks shelter from the rain
She is not alone this night
For others have joined her for this flight
They find a castle high above
Where the Lady stays alone
They land on her patio made of stone
The Pegacorns fly on when they dare
From this place from the lady fair
She sent them on a journey just before
Calling them back at the beginning of the storm
For on this night she needs them more
For she is alone in this storm
The lonely fairy in the castle tall
She grants the wishes of those young and old
Sending others of her kind sending Pegasus and Unicorn
But on this night she needs them the most
To be her shelter from the storm
