HUNGRY LIKE A WOLF

Two lonely figures stand searching looking for shelter from the coming storm
A mother and her babe trying to beat the rain wanting to be safe from harm
Hunters are about looking for the one who killed their sheep
As the storm clouds gather nothing else matters
The rain starts falling and sleeting

The mother and her babe hiding in the glades
As they watch footsteps they stop breathing
Knowing that they could be shot they run past the guns
As the bullets start flying they have escaped

But soon will come the day when the mother and her babe
Will not be together forever

They will be hunted down as they try to make no sound
A mother wolf and her cub fight hunger
But try as they might with no end in sight
They continue their rampage on the village

Some go by night others go by flight
But the mother and her babe lie in waiting
In the deep glades as the hunters kill a stray

They know it could have been them
They lie in waiting for the chance to feast again
A mother wolf and her tiny little baby
