FROM MOTHER TO SON

I never asked for anything more but I got what I wanted and more
I have some friends whom I can trust I have a child whom I can love
I have a family who loves me more than I ever thought possible

I know it’s not easy being a friend and I know it’s just as hard
Being a mother or a dad but one thing I learned so far in life
Is how to be a mother to my son whom I love with all my heart

He is my world and my little man I love it so when he holds my hand
And I feel that special bond only shared between mother and son
I know that times are going to be rough but when I see those eyes
I can’t help but be hypnotized for what I see in this boy
Is nothing but innocence love and pure joy

I hope that time will take its place and slow down
But it’s not always the case for time is swift
No matter where, no matter when

Just time enough to spend with my little man
Is all I ask for in this life

Then I’ll take the chance at being a wife
