FIRE AND ICE
Like coals on a fire the heat of the night
Burns my desire to be with you tonight
I feel a completion that I never did before;
Like I opened the doorway to another world
One where I need only to worry about
Things other than love or than you now
I know that we will meet again soon
But somehow I feel that I no longer need you
You called me today and I played the tired card
But deep down inside I wanted to say get lost
I know that my mind will change itself when we
Meet on the night when you can come to me
But until then I think of how to say
I don’t want you here please just go away
The heat makes me tired and the sweat starts to pour
But it’s times like this where I know what I need for
Myself to be complete and utterly whole
Why does it take this heat to make my heart cold?
