DREAMS ESCAPE ME

Streaking across the midnight sky
a snow white image across the rays
of the moon so bright a steed does ride
with a woman and man upon it

I reach out to them and forget where I am

As I take my little man in my arms
as we ride along singing our song
this woman and man and I with my son

I know not who they are but they seem so familiar

It is then that I suddenly realize

With a smile on her face and a warm embrace
it’s my sister and behind her my first love
we ride in the sky just my son and I

Riding along with my friends
he smiles at me and says
Mommy look at me
as he puts out his arms
so free

The steed larger than life
on it we all sit astride

As my love holds me close to his heart

My son and my sister
they sit there and giggle

It is then that I suddenly wake up

Only to realize my son has decided
to sit on me like a lap dog
