I MET A MAN ONE DAY
As I was walking
down Earth's road
not very long ago,
carrying my load
I met a man who
deigned to walk with me;
he was tall and strong,
as I could easily see.
Said he to me:
"You have a heavy load
to carry all alone
on this hot and dusty road"
"I am going your way,
so give me half your load,
and together we shall
walk this dusty road."
Without an answer given
he took half my load;
as we both continued
down this lonely road.
We talked a bit
as we slowly went;
this stranger and me,
who was heaven sent!
What is your name
that you should do this
for one such as I?
He simply said, "Ron Bliss"
