GIVING BACK!
In this land of the free
There seems to be no lack,
Of receiving good things,
But never giving back.
To always be receiving
And never giving back,
Is like walking in the sand,
And leaving not a track.
If we leave no tracks
To show where we have been,
How barren is the road
Where walks our lonely friend?
The other end of giving
In our days of earthly living,
Has to be receiving
Which is worthy of believing.
So, as I walk today
Upon this parched ground,
Let my attitude be one of gratitude
As I scatter seed all around.
There is the seed of kindness
Which blossoms every day;
And the seed of thoughtfulness
Cast along the narrow way.
Of all the seed that's sown
Fruition comes unto its own;
If we give, counting not the cost
The harvest shall not be lost.
