DOES YOUR BIG TOE HURT?

I dropped a section of fence
On my big toe,
Several days ago,
And now I have woe!
Can hardly move about
Without duly limping;
I don't cry out loud
For that would be whimping!
And I'm not a whimp,
Even though I limp.
Why do toes complain so
When I start to go?
From the pain I feel
When I move about,
You would suspect
I always shout!
But I'm not really loud
When my toe's O.K.,
It's just that my big toe hurts
Whenever I move today.
My wife said to me at noon,
Let me see that digit;
For it must look awful bad,
The way I see you fidget!
Not very black at all,
Looks are deceiving;
But when big toes hurt
The pain is not leaving!
I hope you and your big toe
Never have such woe,
As that which I have now
Without moving my foot, I bow
Out!

... toes are seldom ever praised!
