DEATH CANNOT STAND BEFORE HIM

Mary, Martha, and Lazarus,
Lived in Bethany's Town;
Sisters and brother together,
Until they lay Lazarus down!

In a tomb they placed him,
For Jesus was not there.
For, as Mary said,
Oh, that Jesus were here!

A message was sent to the Master,
Telling of Lazarus' fate.
Yet, Jesus tarried two more days,
Then Mary said that its too late!

Too Late! Too Late! Its been four days,
since we've sealed his final bed!
"If You had been here Jesus,
Our brother would not be dead!"

Jesus spoke of resurrection and life;
Poor Mary's heart was broken'
Failing to truly comprehend
The words Jesus had spoken!

Had You been her, LORD,
Lazarus would not be in the grave;
You could have saved his life,
That life You freely gave!

"Show me where you have laid him!
Now roll the stone away!
Lazarus, I say to you, COME FORTH!"
And the dead came forth that very day!
No death can stand before Him,
Who is the Lord Jesus Christ;
For in dying alone Himself,
He became God's great Sacrifice!

Jesus has the keys of death and Hell.
Death before Him cannot stand,
For Jesus is truly God,
And truly the Son Of Man!

Jesus shed human tears,
For The Scripture says He wept;
But as The Son of God,
He gave back life to one who slept!

Do you know of whom I speak?
Do you know Jesus too?
If you call on Him in faith,
He will surely give life to you!
