A BRIDE FOR ISAAC
Abraham's son had no bride
To ever be at his side;
So he sent his servant hence
To procure a bride from thence.
The faithful servant trusted God
As he traversed the dusty sod.
The mission of his master was his aim,
The special lovely damsel to reclaim.
Rebecca, when faced with the choice.
Of hearing and obeying God's voice.
Said, "I will go," and this she did,
And upon meeting Isaac, her face she hid.
Now, there is another bride
For The Only Begotten Son.
And The Father hath sent His Spirit,
That earthly bride to be won.
We must confess "We will go"
For we have heard His voice,
And with the hearing, we obey
Believing that God hath made His choice.
That glad day will surely come
When this "camel ride" on Earth is done,
And He will transport us to the sky
Where we shall see Him by and by.
Even so come, my Savior and King
Like Rebecca, we'll leave our present abode,
Following The Spirit's leading,
All our burdens we'll unload.
To sit at Jesus' table
Will be our joyful delight,
We shall ever be with Him there
In that eternal day without a night!
