WISDOM, STRENGTH, AND GRACE (WSG)

There are three elements
which I daily ask of God;
for I cannot cope without
as I pitch my tent upon this sod.

The first is the supply
of His wisdom from above;
for of wisdom, I have none,
just as a harmless dove!

The second is the supply
of His strength, for I am weak.
I am an octogenarian and
it is His strength which I seek!

The last is the supply
of His marvelous grace;
for I have none of my own
nor does any of the human race!

With these three verities
from God’s gracious hand,
I shall not fall nor fail
as I traverse this Great Land!

Will you join me
to seek these three;
simple to remember,
just three letters, WSG!
