WILD FLOWERS

Wild flowers are a special kind.
Do not think that is odd
for they are not figments of the mind.
Wild flowers are the handiwork of God!

Beautiful colors of every hue
spring from odd places in the sod,
blooming there just for you.
Wild flowers are the handiwork of God!

Wild flowers are never planted by man,
unlike green peas in the pod.
They often grow in poor soil or sand.
Wild flowers are the handiwork of God!

Some folk remind me of wild flowers
not unaccustomed to the rod,
in all their days and hours.
They, too, are the Handiwork of God!
