BEEN IN THE SUN TOO LONG?

Pressed down, turned about,
Burdens too heavy, within, without?
Robbed of mirth and song?
Been in the sun too long?

Unappreciated, unsung?
A soldier far flung?
Like when you fought the Viet Cong?
Been in the sun too long?

Breathing heavy, tired feet?
Goals too high for you to meet?
Just one of the throng?
Been in the sun too long?

Sins piled high?
Too afraid to die?
Never right, always wrong?
Been in the sun too long?

My friend, turn loose!
For cooked is your goose.
Lose your burden! Gain your song!
Been away from the SON too long!
