MEMORIAL DAY
Have so many forgotten, or never knew
that Memorial, commemorates the dead;
that it isn't a salute to military veterans,
that Memorial day is a monument of
respect for those who died fighting in
a war, killed by an enemy who hated
our country and its people, and was
attempting to take what was ours;
what we had built and held dear?
Memorial Day is not a Holiday, not a
day for fun and games, not a cook-out
day, and it damn well, isn't a Monday
tagged on to other 'days off' for us to
forget who did the fighting so that we
could misinterpret the meaning of a
Memorial Day in these United States.
