IT'S OUR CHOICE
There are so many things in life
That are a constant fight.
At times it's hard to find the place
Inside to makes things right.
But we all possess positive traits
Somewhere deep within.
Throughout the many tests in life
We choose to sink or swim.
We make life harder on ourselves
Than it really has to be.
It comes down to choices we make
Its give and take you see.
If we choose to have the courage
To work through all our fears
Eventually they turn to strengths
And will carry you for years.
If we choose to learn forgiveness
For those that against us sinned.
The gift of peace will find its place
And comfort our soul within.
If we choose to respect all nature
And the treasures that it holds.
Our needs to survive will be met
Because God will supply threefold.
If we choose unconditional love
Encouraging others to be themselves.
Soon our own self-worth grows
Which is a blessing of pure wealth.
If we choose to have the faith
To believe things out of sight.
When there's darkness all around
We will be guided by God's light.
Throughout the many tests in life
We can all choose to swim.
If we grasp our God given gifts
That we possess way deep within.
