CORE OF CARE...
Would you go into a place of worship
singing rap or rock and roll;
drowning out inspirational hymns
the nourishment of another's soul?
Would you go into a school of learning
and constantly disrupt the class;
burying the lessons others search for
misplaced in a pile of trash?
Would you go into a family of poets
who search for healing and peace;
and spend excessive time playing and such
pushing the pen of art out of reach?
It really tends to anger me
when change isn't for the good
and some folks with thoughtless ways
wouldn't listen when they could
