How can I feel the joy of Christmas
deep inside my heart
when we have painfully drifted
so very far apart?
My love for you is unconditional
and that will never change
but without sharing the treasures of love
there's no way it could feel the same.
I wonder as I lay in bed at night
if we are just too much alike
each of us standing solid and firm
for what we believe to be right.
I know this honorable quality in me
