WOODPECKER
I see you Mr. Woodpecker,
Another hole in my tree?
I watch you from my window
And you don’t even see me.
I’ve told so many other folks
How you visit me each day.
As you and your friends take turns
Just peck, peck pecking away.
You’ll never know just what it means
To see you put on a show for me.
I love to watch you, my feathered friend
Peck holes in the old dead tree!!
Hey you little pecker-head!
I was trying to sleep late today.
Will you be quiet an hour or so
Before you start pecking away?
There are times I need a break
From all that noise you make.
You woke me up too early.
And gave me a big headache!!!!!
