CHRISTMAS TIME
Great Ocean Road: Coast of Victoria, AustraliaHave you ever been to the ocean
to celebrate Christmastime
everything changes yet stays the same
throughout the test of time?
Each breath of salty air
each grain of sand that blows
calms an aching heart
and restores a weary soul.
Moonlight guides the sailing vessels
seagulls guard their posts
stars shine brightly from the heavens
renewing faith and hope.
The tide rolls in and out
the horizon hosts a setting sun
the assurance of a new beginning
explodes with colors at dawn.
Walking in the sunlight today
fear not the darkness of night
shadows are places you haven’t yet been
and will be replaced by morning light.
No matter what nature changes
what matters always stays the same
the many treasures given to us
in God’s Almighty name.
