MY HEART GOES OUT

My heart goes out to Fathers
Who fought the war in Vietnam;
Knowing what our Children are facing
Fighting this war of terrorism.

My heart goes out to Mothers
Who have been through this before.
Not only did they lose the one they love
Now their Children are going off to war.

My heart goes out to the Children
Who cry for someone they love
Unable to understand fighting a war
That they have no conception of.

And my heart goes out to Jesus.
As He looks down on this Earth, He weeps.
While reaching to save those in harm’s way
To take their soul to our Father to keep.
