LISTEN TO THE SOLDIERS
Listen to the older generation
They have been through this before.
They have spent so many years
Fighting ghosts in the hell of war.
I think about our Veterans of war
For through battlegrounds they see
The sacrifices of fallen Brothers
Who fought to just be free.
Not only do they live this war
They see wars of years gone by
And still they fight the battlefields
For the lives of you and I.
I think about Disabled Vets
Begging mercy for the strength to fight
For in their thoughts is a living hell
From the morning through the night.
Suffering so unselfishly
Driven by faith and the will to survive.
A Soldier on God Almighty's Earth
Is who stands for what's wrong or right.
Listen to Soldiers who have worn the boots
And their wisdom of our History.
Rise with their honor, as they stand tall
For God meant this land to be free.
