ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS

I went to visit Santa Clause
And sat upon his knee.
He asked me what I’d like to find
Beneath my Christmas tree.

I tried so hard to hold them back
But tears began to fall
And this is what I told Santa
That I want most of all.

I need my Daddy to come home
From a place so far away;
I know he’s serving his country
And Mamma said we must be brave.

But it won’t feel like Christmas
When I wake up with him gone
And my heart feels just like Mamma’s
Without him, we’re all alone.

I know we have each other
But things just aren’t the same
I was thinking you could teach the world
The song my Daddy sang.

The song Daddy loves so much
Is “What The World Needs Now Is Love”
And if peace on earth brings Daddy home
That’s the best Christmas I can think of.
