KANSAS

Tall grass prairies and cottonwood trees
Muddy creeks and lulling rivers
Sunny skies and billowing clouds
Hard wood forests cover the hills

A land that is quiet, yet awake
With soil so rich, and clean air to breathe
Fish to catch and game to hunt
With paths to explore

Sometimes rain, sometimes dry
Tornado’s and thunder storms
Misty morns or blustery evenings
Hot summers and cold winters

Some say it’s flat, but they know not
The East is lush and green
The West is seldom seen
Off the highways you can learn more

This, the land of AH’S or OZ
With Dorothy and Toto;
My home, land of my birth
KANSAS!
