LIFE AND DEATH
What is life;
is it being alone?
Or, is it
having lots of room to roam?
Could it be
the entire sea to see?
Or is it the love we were meant to be?
Maybe
it is our wife?
The two of us
have devoted life.
Living together for so long
and stayed together
when it was a sad song.
What is hate?
Is there such a thing?
Must be!
For it’s what wars bring.
In this world
of life and death,
maybe one day
we’ll get a breath.
Then our families
won’t feel such a death.
