FIRST MEETING

A handshake, a hug,
and welcome home brother:
Go some place and talk;
have a few cold ones.

Maybe fish and get to know each other
and meet his family.
There are only a few days
to become better friends you see.

For when you have to go
it will be hard to leave;
For we never know
we may not meet again.

But when you go
it’s a handshake and a hug.
Brother, hope we can meet again.
