HEAVENLY GREETINGS
A tiny new angel gone to be
with small sibling angels: A mystery.
We wonder why God would just take
this gift that He was just starting to make.
Though it may seem unjust, unfair,
remember His wisdom. He does not err.
He had need of an angel child's grace
for a special job in that Holy place.
They sit at the gate, shining with Love
and greet new arrivals to Heaven above.
Puzzled we wonder, anguished we cry:
Why must it be the little ones? Why?
Why Holy Innocents yet to be born
untimely from their families torn?
It's just my opinion, a strange confession,
maybe because they're God's first impression.
God's newest and smallest creations are
those most in His image, most perfect by far.
These ethereal angels, pure vessels of grace
when we arrive, will show us His face.
