THANKSGIVING

My dear friends,

I want to wish you all a wonderful day for those of you eating turkey today and those of us that will not be eating turkey today, sorry!

In my home the smells of the dinner to be had tonight are already making me hungry and it’s early morning. Our menu for tonight will be turkey, prime-rib for me! :-) And to top it off, a honey baked ham! Yahoo! There’ll be no watching my cholesterol tonight and what’s one more inch around the waist!

My friend Lorie and I open our home to friends that don’t have family in town or newly sober people that have no where to go this has been a tradition in my home for many years now. Before dinner we start with the lighting of the family candle; it is passed around to each of those present. The person holding the candle says what they are grateful for this year and makes a wish for someone else besides them. This is tradition in the Beloz home.

Now the important part – “family”; I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my friends here at the IWVPA. You have be good to me with the recent loss of my brother Russell and my illness and most of all me. I know that recently it has been stressful due to unkind remarks but it has brought us closer together and for that I am grateful!

I love you all; Tony and Subs, thanks for all you have done for us all, and the “Nutso” twins - thanks for the friendship and most of all, the laughs. And Col - glad your back and Papa Ed… thank you!

God bless,
Ruby
