DARBY DIANA BEATTIE-MILLER
"Darby Diana"

Born in 1944, Darby is a Viet Nam veteran who served in the 2nd Surgical Hospital in Phu Bai. She began writing poetry during the time she was homeless and living on the streets after the war (1967-1984). Darby has been diagnosed with PTSD and is recognized by the VA as a disabled veteran.

A survivor of Hurricane Katrina, Darby now resides in Albuquerque, NM where she has decided to remain and continue with her writings, which include Children's Poetry. She says, there is a nice VA whose staff is gracious and does everything they can for female veterans. Darby writes inder the pen name of Darby Diana and is published on-line and internationally.
