Shiny Car, the top is down
We go spinning round the town,
Top is white, the tires gleam
You and me, we are a team

You just drive, while I just sing
Gaze at trees, it's almost spring.
We don't have a plan, I know.
Don't know where we want to go.

But I look, the tank is full,
Ride is smooth, can't feel a pull,
A tug, a push, or a lurch.

While you steer, I close my eyes

At the bar, we order tea.
We sit down – just you and me.

As we sing, you look confused.
I see you are not amused.

Time to go – "C'mon get in
See your patience wearing thin.
Get back in the brand new car.
One last glance, we leave the bar.

"That was fun" I look at you.
Not sure if you liked it too.

I decide who sings along.

I stay quiet in the car,
Not sure who you really are.
Shiny white, the wheels are chrome,
Guess it's time that I went home.

"Drop me off, I'll catch a ride."
I don't want to go inside.
