Unconditional Love is what I feel for you
I count on this thought – it’s what sees me through
When my day gets tough – when my night is long
Unconditional love – when the world seems wrong

Unrequited love – is what’s offered me
So I must back off and just let you be

Pray that what I feel – I can somehow hide

Undeniable pain – sometimes-blatant guilt
I add up the countless tears – useless as they’re spilt
Even strangers know – just what I should do
But I shake my head – I know what is true

Unconcluded thoughts – swimming round my head
Misinterpreted – by most – better left unread
By my well meant friends – they don’t understand
Unconditional – it’s not what I planned

Unpredictable – actions speaking loud
Silently I walk – as not to draw a crowd
keep it locked inside – better left unsaid
