THE SECRET: MY REALITY

If I focus on moments of battle
If I talk about soldiers and war
If I romance the guns and the bloodshed
then decidedly there will be more

If The Universe sees Law of Attraction
If it answers to both Yes and No
If it answers my prayers and my asking
Well of course I will reap what I sew

If I focus on ways that are peaceful
If I walk towards the Source and the light
If I honestly follow my conscience
Then my moments awake should feel right

With abundance eternally flowing
there’s is no need for me to feel lack
All my worries just prattle and quacking
It’s my fear that will lead me off track

Newer Age says the Universe loves me,
There is no competition to win;
There is no Angry Deity above me,
I should look to myself and within

For the answer – it has always been there
And the secret – so large yet so small
It’s my choice what I think to believe in
My reality – always my call

If I push against those who are angry
If I fight for the right to have peace
If my actions negate what I’m saying
Then I doubt I will see much release

And the torment inside I am feeling
I’ve created my own special brand
If I get what The Secret is saying
Then I cannot dismiss out of hand

That it is up to myself to be happy
That if I choose to mourn it’s my choice
And what others decide not important
What I have is a positive voice

That can resonate over the ocean
If I choose – it’s as clear as a bell
It’s my choice – I can choose to be happy
And accept, there are those who choose hell

I am not one to argue with nature
Or free will – or the powers that be
My reality’s Universe given
The great gift that’s been left up to me
