THE ARRIVAL OF SHEBA: November 9, 2007

Sheeba: November 2007Jazz and Fatty – my two cats
There was nothing wrong
They would lick each other clean
Till Sheba came along
Now they sit and peer at her
Then they stare at me
Jazz meows and Fatty squeaks
“Me-Oh how can this be?”
“Weren’t we enough for you?”
Fatty with Fat hair
Jazzpurr learned to do a roll
This just isn’t fair.
The Big Girl has another love
Batsheba is her name
Smokey gray with Persian eyes
Things are not the same
Are we not your golden sons?
Jazzpurr sleeps up high
Fatty comes and strokes your legs
When you say, “Goodbye”
Then you came home with a box (xxxxxxx7*(TYPED BY Sheba)
In it – we could see –
Was a feline dark and small
Worse than that – a SHE!
Sheba sits upon your lap
Like a teacher’s pet
Purrs while you begin to stroke
Jazzpurr’s so upset
Fatty knocks he dishes down
So you know he’s there
Both of them have made a pact
Sheba best beware
Sheba doesn’t know it yet
She’s Helen of Troy
She could cause Catastrophes
For a feline – boy
One thing’s sure – the world has changed
They will find out soon
When the paper work is done
I’ll bring them a Maine Coon
