RECALL NUMBER TWO

CosmoThey called their pet food back
They said it is no good
I wonder why that group
Does not do as they should
They said the food was safe
My cats would grow up strong
And now they tell me “oops”
“I guess that we were wrong”
I’m luckier than most
My kittens are not dead
But I will never trust
Another word that’s said
By corporations big
Just out to make a buck
It really is a shame
‘Cause most are out of luck
I wonder if those guys
Can really understand
I’d like to take an ax
And chop their feeding hand
Or feed them what they sell
I’d make them eat it all
For then they’d understand
The meaning of “RECALL”

Author’s Note: The other day Cosmo started to get sick. I took him to the Vet and he will be fine, but then I heard about a Pet Food recall. Maybe it is coincidence, but I threw out any food that came from the Mars Company, which makes Sheba – an expensive food – that I got on sale at a discount store. (Pedigree foods make a lot of brands – so please check it out)
Anyway, the above poem is what popped out after watching the Vet giving Cosmo fluids and an anti-nausea med. He is 6 months old, and I am always on my guard, especially since I lost Purr-C at the same age.
