EVENING STAR

The evening star’s starting to peek
From out of the sky – it’s inviting
The two of us out for a walk
To top off a day – reuniting

I think of the things we can do
Now that we have made our amends
Two hearts beating steady and true
And neither one false or pretends

To be anything that they are not
At last we are just who we are
And we’re on our way to be healed
Our path lit up under that star
