ACCIDENTS HAPPEN

While hunting over hill and dale
Dick Cheney, hoped to kill a quail
Instead of vice-presidenting
He went and clipped his buddy’s wing

Dick Cheney isn’t very smart
Perhaps someone should check his heart
His secretary of the press
Was left to stop and clean the mess

Instead of working on a win
He hunts for sport – then puts a spin
On why he cannot point and aim
No one was hurt – it’s just a game

An accident – no harm was done
Shoot – everyone deserves some fun
Besides, he had his doctor there
His friend received the best of care

What luck… that he should hunt for sport
His writers pen a quick retort
And quickly mount a great defense
And cover up the huge expense

While soldiers die and mothers wail
Dick Cheney stalks the mighty quail
In light of day, the facts remain
Someone should teach him where to aim

A series of comments about the shooting incidence involving Dick Chaney, VP of America, and his friend, resulting in minor injuries to the friend
