TERROR 911

I was at breakfast with friends when the sad news came
It was tragic indeed, but no need to lay blame
Then I heard of a second disaster
I said a silent prayer to my Master

These acts of terror just wouldn't end
I heard at the capitol it had happened again
Then both towers collapsed, a plane crashed in a field
Finally, to my horror, shock, and anger I yield

I am a man who fought a war and cherishes peace
For over thirty years my life has had a new lease
Suddenly, a faceless coward has hardened my heart
I want retribution against those who took part

Can our world ever regain the security we knew?
In light of today's events our chances seem few
These terrorist acts generate no gain-just fear
Oh you great world communities are you listening, do you hear?

Why are these groups allowed to spread hate?
If the world can't unite, all will suffer the same fate
Can you not see it's useless insanity?
Terror is the most insidious crime against humanity
