A SOLDIER’S MOTHER

She doesn’t wear a uniform
She doesn’t carry a gun
She’s the mother
Of a Soldier son

She’s the one who waits
And prays every night
That he’ll be safe
If he has to fight

She tells him she is proud
For what he chose to do
And to keep the faith
God will see him thru

She’s a special person
And not like any other
For God chose her
To be a soldier’s mother
