IWVPA Award for Website Excellence

IWVPA AWARD FOR WEBSITE EXCELLENCE

GUIDELINES

The IWVPA Award for Web Site Excellence is awarded in recognition for outstanding quality of content and presentation of war-related Web Sites.

The site for which the award is approved must be War related, i.e. about war, its participants, incidents, consequences and/or must promote the cause of War Veterans, their families and dependants. The inclusion and display of war and/or war related poetry or stories is not a requisite condition, but the site must be "open" in that membership and/or passwords are not a requirement for access.

Recipients of this award are nominated by IWVPA Club members who are to advise the nomination and the URL of the site, as well as a contact email address for the webmaster of the nominated site to the IWVPA Award Master.

Once nominations are seconded, they are to be forwarded to the IWVPA Webmaster and must include the URL (website address) AND the email address of the person whose site is nominated. Recipients of the Award are not required to be members of the IWVPA club, and sites by any person may be considered providing that the content falls within the bounds of the definition of a "War Related Site" as defined above.

It should not be taken for granted that any award will be automatically approved; the final decision being that of the AWARD MASTER. Where there is any indecision, the WEBMASTER will be consulted for his views to help determine the final action.

Once approved, the AWARD MASTER is to advise the IWVPA Webmaster to enable that the Honour Roll on the IWVPA Website is updated.

Linking by the Award winning website to the IWVPA website is not a prerequisite of the award, but shall be requested.

The award is NOT available by application.
