A DIRT ROAD IN DIXIE

As I turned onto the path that was to take me home,
I noticed the large oak tree limbs hanging graceful over the dirt road,
Casting ghostly shadows onto the roadway that I was traveling
And for a fleeing moment, I went back in time and saw the shadow of a man
Dancing on the dirt road, as other men dressed in white sheets merely laughed

So much for the tranquility of a dirt road in Dixie
