LOST AND ALONE

I have wandered lost and alone,
I have wandered for many long years.
I have a family and people I know,
yet I am still all alone - just me.

I've knocked on every door,
tapped on every window,
just trying to find my way,
to find where I belong.

My search has been in vain;
I can find no portal to the world I lost.

Now the full realisation has dawned;
I will go home eventually - but this homecoming I will not see,
for I will arrive in all my glory, dressed in little else than a body bag.

This is the price I pay for Honour and Integrity.
