WHO DO WE DECEIVE?

Who do we deceive?
When we first make ourselves believe
That one holds the light
And one's thoughts are always right.

Who do we deceive?
When with another we can't cleave
No other has ever been right
Disagree with me and you will get a fight.

Who do we deceive?
To continue to speak against another is very naïve
Oh, but allow one to utter words
that he doesn't even believe
Then try and convince others
that thoughts only he can conceive.

Who do we deceive?
If one thinks one is always right,
what a tangled web one does weave.
Bring a subject of any type
And this one can fill a room with diatribe.

Who do we deceive?
Maybe at once one would see the truth,
others a thought they can conceive
All can be wrong and most will admit
But to some all they live for, is to curse and spit.
