Where I first heard of Christ

Where my Lord paid the price.

With blood stained beams

I learn of LOVE supreme.
In the shadow of the Cross
Every moment a love filled pain
In the shadow of the Cross
My Lord would die and rise again
King of Kings to rein.
In the shadow of the Cross
No love could stronger be
In the shadow of the Cross
My Savior died for me!
In the shadow of the Cross
I live today
In the shadow of the Cross
In Jesus' arms I'll stay.
In the shadow of the Cross
My Lord speaks to me
In the shadow of the Cross
Nothing else so much comfort brings
Than praying on bended knee.
In the shadow of the Cross
I yearn to read The Holy Bible,
and of my Jesus to learn
In the shadow of the Cross
I pray for those lost for without HIM
in a fiery HELL they'll BURN.
In the shadow of the Cross,
My salvation is promised by the King
In the Shadow of the Cross
I place my faith and trust
and will continue to stand
on the solid rock of the KING.
