LITTLE THINGS

People are funny in the way they say hello
Most of them wouldn't notice if you were stuck in the snow.
But meet a stranger on the street of a town
Many of them will nod or at least utter some kind of sound.
Little Things!

A neighbor child that is ill finds most people willing to help
But if its family were hungry would the guy next door give what he had left.
A child in a wheel chair sometimes finds it difficult to get around
So if someone were looking most would show kindness that would abound.
Little Things!

Come next Christmas and the poor kid down the street
Would you do without a little so his family would have something to eat?
A toy, a ball or even a pair of second hand shoes
Could make a little one's eyes light up when he hears the news.
Little Things!

I guess what I'm saying is that all of us are blessed
And to give of ones self is a gift measured as the very best.
Jesters of kindness, love and joy
Can make a difference to every little girl and boy.
Little Things!
